Howard Zinn (1922-2010)
On 27 January, the day when the entire world celebrated a remembrance against the horrors of war and Nazism, Howard Zinn died. He was a great man, great historian, great pacifist, a great author and friend of Charta. We were in synch, and above all we were convinced that the only just war was the one against war. This is a hard loss; the world needs people like him. We will miss him. Thanks Howard, for your clear and constructive thoughts and for the things we did together. Our only regret is that we met you too late, but it was a great privilege. February 20, 2007.
